High Ridge Resources Inc. (TSX-V: HRR)
High Ridge began trading March 1, 2006 on the Toronto Venture Exchange, under the symbol "HRR".
High Ridge has two mining exploration properties in British Columbia, Canada, a strong management team led by Gary Anderson, President.
BRITISH COLUMBIA - Chuchi Property
Central BC (90 km north of Fort St. James)
The Chuchi Property has major upside. Previous drilling by various major mining companies and has outlined a potential resource of low-grade copper. The 1989 discovery of the Mt. Milligan porphyry copper-gold deposits 32 km to the southeast re-ignited interest in this property as a potential look-a-like.
"The mineralization is significant in that it occurs from the top to the bottom of the holes, and that each of these holes ended in mineralization, indicating that mineralization has been extensively developed and is open to depth." (C. Rebagliati, P. Eng., June 24, 2005)
The company believes the potential for a large copper/gold porphyry exists and that more drilling can increase both tonnage and grade.
BRITISH COLUMBIA - Newton Hill Property
Chilcotin Plateau in the Clinton Mining Division, BC (105 km WSW of Williams Lake)
The target deposit type sought at Newton Hill is copper/gold porphyry.
Short drill programs by Cyprus Exploration. (1972) Taseko Mines (1982) and Rea Gold (1992) have been encouraging with some copper-gold values reported.
In 2006, encouraging drill results were received from the area of previously indicated gold mineralization.
- The best drill hole, DDH 06-12, averaged 2.33 gr/tonne gold over 49 metres from 161 and 210 metres, still in gold mineralization; including 2 metres of 15.87gr/tonne gold from 185-187 metres.
- DDH 06-12 is in oxidized rock throughout and ends at 210 metres in gold mineralization. Copper in oxide form through the 49 metre gold intersection averaged 1598 ppm (0.15% Cu).
- DDH 06-11, located 240 metres west of DDH 06-12, intersected 10 metres of 1.07 gr/tonne gold (123 ppm copper) from bedrock surface at 3 metres to 13 metres depth and
- DDH 06-03, located 200 metres north of DDH 06-12, was well mineralized over a 97 meter interval between 113 metres and 210 metres (0.51 gr/tonne gold) including 10 metres of 1.11 gr/tonne gold between (159 and 169 metres) and 7 metres of 0.93 gr/tonne gold between (203-210 metres). DDH 06-03 bottomed at 210 metres depth still in gold mineralization.
The drill results indicates potential for a new target deposit type at Newton Hill, namely a heap leach type gold deposit mineable by open pit methods. Copper might also be economically recovered. Gold mineralization is contained within an oxidized high altered felsic volcanic horizon. The gold zone and altered volcanic horizon is associated with a distinct magnetic low outlined in early geophysical surveys and recent surveys by HRR. The gold zone is open to the northwest and southeast.
